さて三日目は、午前中のグループワークで、地域の一般的なまちづくり上の課題や良いところのほかに、気候変動による流域治水上の課題と可能性をまとめるとともに、それらを踏まえて各グループに与えられたミッションに対する提案の目的と戦略、戦術を考案し、午後の中間発表会で発表してもらう、というメニューです。
Now, on the third day, in the morning group work, in addition to the general community development challenges and good points of the region, students summarize the challenges and possibilities for watershed flood control due to climate change, and based on these, devise objectives, strategies, and tactics for their proposals for the mission given to each group, which will be presented at the interim presentation in the afternoon. The agenda was to have them present their proposals at the mid-term presentation session in the afternoon.

結構、悩んでいるような感じでしょうか…。

アドバイザーとして入っていただいた市役所の方にも、熱が入ります。
The City Hall staff who came in as advisors are also very enthusiastic!

京都先端科学大学の丹羽先生からは、ご専門の環境保全の話だけでなく、地域住民のための場所として、旧平和池に計画される公園がどのようなものであり得るか、いろんなご助言をいただきました。
Prof. Niwa from Kyoto University of Advanced Science gives not only his expertise in environmental conservation but also various advice on what the planned park at the former Heiwa Pond could be like as a place for residents.

時間が短いので作業の前の打ち合わせが重要です。

Since time is short, it is important to have a discussion before the work.

中間発表では、各グループから全体に対する発表という形ではなく、班ごとに行い、地域の方や市役所の方、教員らに向けた発表に対して、フィードバックがありました。
At the midterm presentation, instead of a presentation from each group to the entire group, each group made a presentation to the community, city hall, and faculty, and received feedback on their presentations.

部屋に人が少なく見えるのは、サボっているのではなく、フィードバックを受けて、急いでもう一度敷地を見に行ったりしているグループがあるからです…。
The reason the room appears to be less crowded is not because they are slacking off, but because some groups are getting feedback and rushing off to see the grounds again….

なかなか厳しいコメントもありましたが、明日が最終発表なので「今伝えておかなければ！」という地域の方々、市役所の方々の思いが伝わる中間発表会でした。

The mid-term presentation was a great opportunity for the community and city hall staff to share their thoughts and feelings about the project.
